What browsers can I use to play Nexus Poker?

Any major browser such as Internet Explorer 8+, Firefox 3+, Chrome 8+ and Safari 4+.

Are some browsers better than others for playing Nexus Poker?

Yes. Playing experience is better in browsers with full support of modern web standards such as CSS2, CSS3 and Javascript.

What browser(s) do you recommend?

Any supported browser would work just fine. Latest Firefox or Chrome are highly compatible, easy to install and even run on platforms other than Windows

How to open game page in a different tab/window?

Right-click on the VIEW button. A menu would appear, choose 'Open Link in a New Tab/Window'. Note this works pretty much on all buttons and menus throughout the nexuspoker.com site

Do you support Internet Explorer 6?

We do not support Internet Explorer 6-7. You may get the game going in those browsers but we do not test and do not support them. We did not have any of our players use these older versions of IE so far. Let us know if you feel we should continue supporting old IE and tell us why you must still use it.

Do you support mobile devices like iPhone or iPad?

You can play on any mobile device with a decent web browser. However we have not optimized our site for mobile. We are working on a version which provides the same great playing experience on mobile devices.

Can I bookmark individual playing table pages?

Yes you can bookmark tables as those links are stable. However we recommend bookmarking lobby page because it gives you a full view of tables you were seated on. That is handy when you just returned to play.

What poker flavors are available?

No Limit and Fixed Limit Texas Holdem.

How many raises are allowed?

In Fixed Limit Holdem a bet and three raises are allowed.

How to find tables I am seated at?

In poker lobby those tables will appear in bold italicized text. Another way is to click Options on any table page. List of tables where you are currently seated is under 'Game' tab. Note that you must be signed in your account.

The site is completely free how do you support yourself?

We support ourselves through displaying advertisements on site's pages.

How to change my avatar?

Make sure that you signed in with your Google account. Then go to signup page and change your avatar or other attributes.

I got "Action Not Allowed: User login required" error?

Your login session had expired or you may have signed out of another Google product like gmail. To log back in just refresh the page and follow signin procedure. If you check 'Stay Signed in' check box on the page where you enter your credentials the system would not ask you again for up to 2 weeks. Here is more information if you have trouble staying logged in.

Can I use multiple accounts?

We strongly discourage use of multiple accounts for obvious reasons. Note that most sites, especially those allowing cash games, expressly prohibit such practice. Such practice also interferes with your use of certain site's features. For example your hand history would be fragmented across multiple accounts. Check out our full Terms of Service

Ads help us pay the bills. This site is free for players and supported only by advertising.

How Invite Friends bonus works?

Copy a link and send it to your friends. Use facebook, skype, twitter, email or whatever way easiest for you to share the link. When your friends sign up using that link, you immediately get bonus chips. The same link works to get a bonus for as many as 10 friends.

How Choose Avatar bonus works?

Simply follow the link to signup page and select an avatar. When done you get your bonus chips immediately. This bonus works only if you have not had an avatar selected before. After you have chosen an avatar once the link turns grey indicating that you have used up this bonus.
