It is simple. Your rank is determined by your bankroll as compared to other players. The higher your bankroll, the closer you are to the top of poker leaderboard. Player with rank #1 amassed the most chips by being skillful and shrewd at poker.
We show two leaderboards. First leaderboard is called current and displays only players who played recently. Within last two weeks or so. Second leaderboard displays all players who played within one year of today. That leaderboard has more of a historic perspective showing how you stack up against titans of the past who may or may not be actively playing now. Currently the leaderboards count regardless of whether you played No Limit Holdem or Limit Holdem Poker flavor.
By knowing fundamentals of solid poker strategy. Adjusting your game to your opponents. The most profitable strategy is often to play the opposite of how others are playing.
